JCSD Update

With the current drought conditions the Southern California area has had over the past few years, water conservation is vital to our community.  JCSD has enacted a Water Conservation Committee to help educate the public in ways to conserve water.  Recently the district held a mini seminar on water wise gardens.  This was an enormous success with almost 200 people in attendance.  Folk attending received tips on watering, water wise plants and other helpful hints that will reduce their water bills by conserving.  The district plans to continue to promote water conservation at local fairs and community events.  For more information on how you can conserve water visit www.bewaterwise.com.

Graffiti

As graffiti in appearing more readily around our neighborhoods, the district has formed a Graffiti Task Force to help combat this problem.  The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, EDA and local school districts, along with JCSD meet once a month to gather information and work together on prevention and eradication of the graffiti in our area. Parks

Several new parks are almost complete and there will be grand openings for them in the coming months. Dairyland Park which features a water play area is being fast tracked to open for the summer months.  Cedar Creek Phase II should open in the next few weeks but the water feature is still under construction.  The Eastvale Trail and Riverwalk Park are other parks scheduled to be opened by the end of the year.

The sun shades originally bid for the parks have been held up due to the bidding company cancelling the order.  A new bid has been received but the price went up over 200% so the park roll out of the sun shade will have to be spread out over time due to the increase in the costs.
